Swimming with Whale Sharks

So whilst we’re away I reach the milestone everyone looks forward to… the dreaded 30. To be fair, I’m not too fussed but it will be sad to be away from my mates and I’ll be missing out on a few others’ 30th birthdays including the legendary Barry Treasure. Still, I’m sure I’ll survive and Debs has asked me what I’d like to do on the actual day, which brings me to the Whale sharks…

Apparently they migrate from the Philippines and we might just be able to catch them after our trip to Nepal in June. So that’s the plan. They’re protected so you can’t Scuba dive with them, just snorkel. Still, I can think of worse ways to turn 30. Also, they’re not dangerous!

  1. Hey Guys, Dave and Rhian here from the Gili Islands. Hope the British summer is treating you well and you are managing to join society again! Great to see you managed to try out the free diving too. We happen to be in Blighty till 18 August and just up the road in Cambridge.

Enjoy that pint Jack and be careful with the British wine Debbie – having explored some of the strange SE Asia things, try out Vinopolis near the south bank. You can get some smelly Thai fish wine there!
